Unfortunately, Serge has left this world with few paintings available in galleries.
His work was well received and sold as it was produced.
Maumelat Expo in San Francisco with Chantal, the painter's model. Through good luck, several of his works, as exhibited in California, during 1999-2000 have been preciously stored by his friend Renot.
La Galerie Internationale and Musée Art Editions would be very pleased to offer you a canvas Giclée reproduction of your choice and budget.

Serge was born at Mont-de-Marsan (France) in 1946. He began to paint at the age of 12. I might have met some important painters in my youth, but I wasn't aware of it. They kept a small space for me in their studio and encouraged me to paint. His successes lead him to take courses in the Graphic Arts School, in Paris. Before leaving us, he resided on the French Riviera, near the city of Saint Paul de Vence. He never liked to speak of his life and art; but his art speaks much of his generosity, his emotion. Painting is the reflection of the soul....................................... With his mixed tools, such as the knife, specially- mixed blues and other materials, Serge painted very intimate subjects. His palette seeemed fully orchestrated such as a Jazz player to the rythm of a saxophone, sending us the dynamic thrust of the artist. All along remaining in the harmonies of mixed blue paint, he softened his curvesto help us discover those women who exude extraordinary sensitivity. His work never being provocative, Maumelat simply caught women in their usual activities. Whether spread on a beach, within an interior space, or playing the violin, conscious of their beauty, this painter erases details to dedicate himself to the dynamic graphic image,to the play of colors, to the surface and the media. He sensed all things with such intensity, as to make the viewer discover his compositions of rich yet honest colors, generously sculpted in the media. The objects become images pullled directly out of their roots. |
